Nyasa Big Bullets are targeting Civil Sporting Club’s striker Raphael Phiri.
The People’s Team are in talks with the Lilongwe club and discussions are at an advanced stage, according to chief executive officer, Fleetwood Haiya.
“We are optimistic that by the end of next week an agreement would be reached,” says Haiya. “We are hopeful that Raphael Phiri will be with us come second round”.
Haiya indicates that Nyasa Big Bullets are looking at the possibility of making three new signings before the start of the 2018/19 TNM Super League second round, and Phiri is one of the main targets.
Phiri, who is also on the ladder of Mozambican giants Costa do Sol and TNM Super League second-placed Silver Strikers, has been Bullets’ target since last season.
Without disclosing the third player, Haiya indicates that Bullets are expected to welcome back Dalitso Sailesi.
The winger is expected to make a return to The People’s Team after he severed ties with Zambian outfit Lusaka Dynamos, which he joined last season from Bullets.
“He has been our player and he will be coming home. Sailesi is that player we look forward to having in our camp because he adds more value to the team,” states the CEO.
Silver Strikers are also reportedly interested in the talented left winger.
