The People’s Team face Mzuni FC this afternoon in our first outing of the TNM Super League at Mzuzu Stadium this weekend.
Tomorrow Bullets face Moyale Barracks at the same venue as they look to get maximum points and further extend the lead at the top of the log table.
Currently the team lead the pack with 38 points, six ahead of second-placed Silver Strikers.
In today’s team which faces Mzuni, coach Rogers Yasin has made three changes to the first XI that faced Nchalo United in last weekend’s 2-0 win.
20-year-old Ernest Petro has replaced Fischer Kondowe in the right wing. The youthful midfielder came on as a second-half substitute on Sunday, taking over from the veteran winger.
In defence, Pilirani Zonda takes Captain John Lanjesi’s position and will be operating as a right wingback, alongside sweeper Sankhani Mkandawire and Yamikani Fodya on the left.
Chimango Kayira comes on in defending midfield as he replaces Patrick Phiri who’s on the bench. The striker was replaced by Mkwate after colliding with a Nchalo United player in the air.
With Phiri on the bench, Bullets will play with two strikers, Chiukepo Msowoya and Bright Munthali, in the 3-5-2 formation.
