Nyasa Big Bullets has contributed eleven players to the senior Malawi national football team as the Flames start preparations for the 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
Malawi will play Botswana back to back early next month in the Preliminary Round with the first leg set for September 7 away in Francistown and the return leg scheduled for Kamuzu Stadium in Blantyre on September 10.
The Football Association of Malawi at the weekend announced a 33-member squad of local-based players, who started training at Mpira Village in Chiwembe on Monday.
Among the eleven Bullets players is stand-in captain Chimango Kayira, who has been recalled for national duty following his remarkable form at club level this season.
The defending midfielder has been outstanding in the TNM Super League and was impressive in Saturday’s Bullets CAF Champions League match against Zimbabwe’s side FC Platinum at Kamuzu Stadium.
