Nyasa Big Bullets forward Hassan Kajoke is the TNM Super League Fans Player of the Month for November.
The 19-year-old amassed 2298 votes against Silver Strikers winger Duncan Nyoni’s 168, Moyake Barracks winger Lloyd Njaliwa’s 130, Ntopwa FC forward Mphatso Magaleta’s 85 and Mighty Tigers goalkeeper Christopher Mikuwa’s 30 votes.
Kajoke, promoted into the first team from Bullets Reserves at the start of the season, has scored 16 league goals for Bullets since joining the top flight and has helped The People’s Team move to the summit of the log table.
The youngster says he is very delighted to have won the award in his inaugural TNM Super League season. Kajoke has hailed Bullets and other soccer fans who voted for him.
“This gives me the courage to keep on working hard. This is my debut season in the top flight and I never expected to be one of the winners, but here I am and will keep on pushing for more glory.
“I would like to thank the fans for voting for me and this shows how supportive they are to me and the rest of the players,” says Kajoke, who will pocket K100 000 for winning the award from league sponsors TNM.
Currently, Kajoke is Bullets’ top goal scorer in the top flight league with two games remaining and has the opportunity to surpass the current top scorer Khuda Muyaba, who has scored 21 goals in the 30 full matches that his side has played to wrap up the season.
He follows another Bullets starlet, Peter Banda, who also scooped the Fans Player of the Month for September.
