Nyasa Big Bullets have been put on bay after contributing more than three players to the Malawi senior national team for the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against South Sudan on Wednesday and Uganda on Sunday.

Rabson Chiyenda, Chimango Kayira, Peter Banda, Chimwemwe Idana, Nixon Nyasulu and Hassan Kajoke are the players who are with the national team, while Precious Sambani, Charles Petro, Mike Mkwate and Patrick Phiri are out of the squad due to injuries.

Bullets will have to wait until next week to return to action following a disappointing FISD Challenge Cup exit at the hands of Silver Strikers in Lilongwe on Saturday.

The People’s Team leads the pack with a point ahead of Be Forward Wanderers, who have also been rested for contributing a number of players to the national team.

From the 23 games played, the league leaders have 49 points while Wanderers have 48 points from the same number of games.

Bullets will travel to Lilongwe twice to face Silver Strikers and Civil Sporting Club while five of the remaining seven games will be played at home to Mighty Tigers, Moyale Barracks, TN Stars, Blue Eagles and Kamuzu Barracks.
